Since 2007 the Attleboro Arts Museum has been an active partner in the City of Attleboro’s annual city-wide reading initiative.  In this program participants are encouraged to simultaneously read the same book, or materials related to a chosen topic, and extend their connection to their readings through local arts and culture activities throughout the year.

Starting in fall 2024 Attleboro will turn its attention to the simple, but often neglected, act of kindness.  The city will be reading a selection of books, poems, graphic novels and other materials that deal with gestures of selflessness, compassion and working toward the greater good. In response to these reads, the museum mounts an invitational entitled Here, I’ll Get That for You: Strokes of Kindness – In Art, In Life. 

Here, I’ll Get That for You features original work created as a tribute to a cause and shines a light on non-profit organizations in and outside of Attleboro, MA. These socially conscious works of art will be accompanied by statements from the artists, revealing their connection to a particular cause and the good work produced by so many valued organizations and agencies.

The Postcards to Venice exhibition premieres in Mexico City at #Hashtag Gallery (DURANGO 272 #4, Roma Norte, CDMX) from June 8 - June 22, 2024 prior to traveling to Palazzo Pisani Revedin, in Venice, Italy from September 3 - November 3, 2024.

For 135 years, the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) has been driven by the dedication of its volunteers. NAWA’s mission to educate, empower, and showcase women artists has thrived thanks to these committed individuals. Each year, NAWA honors the women who have generously contributed their time to advance this mission.

While many members provide their expertise, there are those who dedicate a significant portion of their time and energy. NAWA celebrates these exceptional volunteers, known as Art Angels, with an annual exhibition showcasing their work. The organization relies on the kindness, generosity, goodwill, and expertise of its volunteers, who have been the backbone of NAWA’s growth and expansion since its founding in 1889.

Featuring seven artists: Diana Arvanites, Alyn Carlson, Alma Cummings, Corinn Jusell, Chris Page, Heather Stivison, with Soundscapes by Scott Bishop. These artists explore the concept of “river” at the Fall River Arts & Cultural Coalition's Ignition Space.

Heather Stivison: Borders and Boundaries a solo exhibition of interdisciplinary works exploring borders and boundaries in terms of the basic human need for a place to call home. The artist puts present-day issues of migration and border wars into both current and historical contexts. The narrative works in the exhibition are a tapestry of drawings, paintings, textiles, and found objects. Each, in their own way, reflect the very authentic voice of the artist.

For 135 years, this annual exhibition has offered a glimpse at the astonishing range of high-quality works being created by fully juried-in members of the National Association of Women Artists. This is the prestige exhibition of the year by NAWA Signature Members from across the United States, will once again take place in Tribeca’s well-respected ONE ART SPACE.

Two wonderful days of visiting artists in New Bedford’s largest community of working artists. Live music, craft demonstrations, and the chance to peek inside all kinds of art studios.

Art with Intention is an exhibition of works by members of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Women Artists, juried by Tamar Russell Brown.

This group exhibition features the work of current Pleiades Gallery artists in celebration of the many exhibitions that have been presented at Pleiades gallery since it was first established in 1974

The 2024 version of this beloved annual group show will take place at the Bristol Art Museum. This year it will feature the work of 71 South Coast Artists.

This exhibition is presented in Duxbury’s Art Complex Museum, an architecturally stunning space. The museum contains a gallery for rotating objects from the permanent collection of the Carl A. Weyerhaeuser family and exhibition spaces that feature paintings, sculptures, prints, and craft objects created by contemporary artists. It also houses the Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Reference
Library of over 5K publications. A Japanese tea hut, part of the
museum’s Asian collection, is located on the grounds. The museum offers a year-round schedule of exhibitions, lectures, concerts, classes, education programs, demonstrations, and tea ceremonies.
